In light of the recent announcement of The Nobodies’ historic merger with Cooper-Wells (see below), we here at the newsletter thought we’d take our own trip down memory lane and revisit the Mx. Nobody of yesteryear.

An entire decade ago in 2016, the very first Mx. Nobody was delivered unto the world painted gold and clothed in cardboard. Our intrepid Nobodies acted as midwives to the weirdos of drag with a new pageant they billed as a competition with no rules, no limits, and no meaning. As the best of the weird battled it out, only one emerged victorious and Elle McQueen entered into legend by becoming the first ever Mx. Nobody.

Over the years, many competitors have shed blood, sweat, and various other fluids in pursuit of the cardboard crown. Only eight have succeeded. And now, under the benevolent eternal eyes of Cooper-Wells, it’s time to begin the search for a new champion. What sights shall we see? What heights shall we reach? What smells shall we smell? We’ll all find out this summer at Mx. Nobody 9.
